Amity Lodge No. 4 has a rich history dating back to 1863, founded during the height of Nevada’s Comstock Lode silver rush. Located in Silver City, the lodge emerged as a vital center for miners and their families, offering fellowship and support amidst the boom of economic activity. As the town grew, the lodge became an important pillar of the community, embodying the Masonic values of integrity, brotherhood, and charity. Its members played significant roles in shaping Silver City’s development, contributing not only to the town’s growth but also to its enduring sense of community.

The lodge building, constructed in the early 1870s, stands as a historical treasure, preserving much of its original character. Ownership passed through prominent local figures and organizations before finally being acquired by Amity Lodge in 1915. Today, the lodge remains dedicated to serving Silver City, carrying forward its legacy of community involvement. With ongoing charitable efforts such as providing scholarships, supporting youth leadership programs, and contributing to healthcare initiatives, Amity Lodge continues to uphold its Masonic principles while actively preserving both its historical significance and its commitment to future generations.

Today, we invite those who share our values of service, integrity, and personal growth to connect with us and learn more about Freemasonry and the history of Amity Lodge No. 4.
